Leroy Albert "Bert" Wilson Jr. Obituary: Surrounded by his loving family Leroy Albert "Bert" Wilson, Jr. 93 passed away on October 18, 2016. Leroy was born September 16, 1923, in Salt Lake City Utah to Leroy A. Wilson Sr. and Marguerite 'Rita' Nelson Wilson. He graduated from South High School in 1942 and went into the Navy to serve his country in World War II. After the war, he worked on airplane instrumentation at Hill Field (HAFB) where he met his wife Charoll Creamer. They were married on June 30, 1949, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He played football at the University of Utah the final year they wore leather helmets – known as the leatherheads. He graduated
